Commercial Electrical Services
ETA Electrical Services Ltd can provide you with a complete turn-key package, from the initial survey, through to design, procurement, installation, commissioning and hand over of a complete electrical project, through to preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
We carry out an extensive range of services for commercial, industrial and public clients. Our fully qualified electricians have the knowledge and experience to carry out works on any commercial or industrial installation safely and in compliance with the latest regulations.
All of our engineers are fully qualified, are ECS card holders, and will always comply with health and safety legislation and any site specific requirements at all times.
Our services are tailored to suit the specific needs of our clients. We can work on a labour only basis, or we can offer you a free on site survey with one of our company directors, where we can discuss your exact requirements and provide you with an exact quotation for any proposed works.
As an NICEIC approved contractor we can design, supply, install, commission and maintain a wide variety of electrical systems, all in accordance with BS:7671.
Our NICEIC approved electrical contractors work across a diverse range of sites and projects, working to the highest levels of workmanship, safety and technical competence. Thanks to our NICEIC accreditation, all electrical installation work we undertake is guaranteed to BS:7671 (wiring regulations), and as a company, we only ever employ fully qualified and experienced electricians.
We have a wealth of experience with commercial, industrial and domestic electrical installations, and we have covered a wide variety of projects from refurbishments of existing buildings to brand new installations.
Our electricians can design and install all required containment, electrical wiring and distribution equipment. Most commercial and industrial premises will require a 3 phase electrical installation, which falls hand in hand with our standard electrical installation service.
Testing and Inspecting
As an approved inspection and testing company registered with the NICEIC, our team of specialist electrical inspectors can carry out a full periodic electrical installation condition report of your premises to keep you compliant with the latest health and safety legislation.
Once we have carried out an inspection of your premises, we will provide you with a detailed report which will highlight any deficiencies and safety issues, including;
• The general condition of the wiring
• Results of electrical tests carried out on each circuit
• Potential fire or electrical shock hazards
• Any lack of earthing or safety bonding
• Defective electrical work
• Non compliances with current regulations
If any issues are highlighted during the inspection then we can provide you a free quotation to carry out any remedial works. Once any remedial works are completed, we can provide you with a new EICR certificate stating that the building is electrically safe, which is valid for between 1 and 10 years (depending on the building type).
All electrical inspections are carried out with a minimum of disruption to you and your business, and we offer out-of-hours testing where appropriate.
It is a legal requirement for any employer or landlord who supplies electrical equipment to ensure that the electrical equipment in use is 'safe, well maintained and suitable for the purpose for which it is being used'. One way to ensure compliance with the regulations is to have portable appliance testing carried out, typically every 12 months.
PAT Testing should be an essential aspect of every company or landlords health and safety policy to ensure that staff, tenants or visitors are not harmed by any electrical equipment in use within the premises.
Our experienced team of qualified PAT Testers can visit your premises and test all of the appliances for safety. Upon completion of the testing, we will provide you with a complete asset register, which will correspond with the labels applied to each appliance, along with a certificate for your records.
We carry out testing to all types of premises, from small rented properties with a few appliances, to large office with thousands of pieces of electrical equipment.
Fire Alarm Systems
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, all non-domestic buildings and homes of multiple occupancy are required by law to have an adequate fire risk assessment and fire management system implemented and maintained.
Our specialist fire alarm engineers can design, install, commission and maintain all types of fire alarm systems in any kind of public, commercial or industrial premises.
All of the work that we carry out on fire alarm systems is compliant with the current BS:5839-1 regulations, and we provide certification for all areas of our work.
We can provide you with a reliable and professional whole-life service, from the design, installation and commissioning of systems to the maintenance and repairs of both new and existing fire alarms. The work we carry out on fire alarm systems includes;
Energy Efficient Lighting
In commercial and industrial premises, lighting can account for up to two thirds of the total electricity costs. By installing energy saving lighting and controls, you can significantly reduce energy bills, maintenance costs and environmental impact.
ETA Electrical Services can design and install an individually tailored lighting solution, that will consist of a combination of energy efficient LED light fittings, daylight control sensors and presence detection sensors.
Once installed, a new energy efficient LED lighting system can offer savings of up to 90% over traditional fluorescent or discharge lighting, as well as offering better lighting quality and minimal heat output. New lighting will also eliminate maintenance costs throughout the fittings warranty period as well as reduce CO2 emissions.
It is a requirement under the Emergency Lighting Regulations BS:5266-1 that all commercial and industrial buildings are fitted with an emergency lighting system to ensure the safe evacuation of the premises in the case of an emergency.
ETA Electrical Services can arrange the regular inspection and testing of these systems to ensure compliance with the latest legislation. We can arrange a full 3 hour emergency light test every 6 or 12 months, as well as providing you with the relevant documentation and log book.
If you have 5 or more employees, then you are required by law to carry out a fire risk assessment, which will detail the emergency lighting that should be in place. We offer a fire risk assessment service to help employers fulfil their statutory obligations under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order.
